I am still amazed that I am a parent. We tried to have you for so long....we are so lucky and blessed that we got lucky on our first round of IVF. Mommy will explain IVF to you, when you get bigger. But for now, all you need to know is that BIG dreams make LITTLE miracles! You arrived in such a positive way - the labor was amazing - I felt like I could do it again and again....I felt like I could do ANYTHING!
I used to keep a handwritten journal - and you will get those when you get older, but I find that keeping a blog is easier - while you are napping I can just jump on the computer and type!
Yesterday you put your feet in the grass for the very first time....Its fascinating isn't it? Its prickly....and tickly - the ground was warm and stickly (cause it rained the day before)...you got mud on your little feet. You got upset when I picked you up. You wanted to stay in it all day! We blew bubbles, took pictures, and looked at the big trees! You smiled when you heard the mocking bird chirping...tweet tweet. We waited as long as we could for daddy but it was getting toooooooo late and you were getting hungry.
Mommy does not remember the 1st time SHE put her feet in the grass....and you probably won't either. When you have your own baby, trust me son - it will be such a special day.
Seeing you go through life and watching you accomplish goals like simply lifting your head while laying on your tummy, make my life worth living. I feel like I was put here on this earth to be your mommy - and NOTHING will ever make me feel different....Not a temper tantrum, not a time out, not when you say you hate me, not a bad grade, not a missed curfew, not if you make a mistake - NOTHING will ever change the fact that I am so lucky be your Mommy.
When I was on bed rest I would spend all day imagining what it'd be like once you got here...well, it is SOOOOOOOO much more than I expected! I am so proud of you already, I can't imagine what the future has in store for us!
